Pretty funny, Amber - my sister came up with the title for this blog. Frank and Eddie are our two dogs who just made the trip by themselves from Houston to Denver to Tokyo. It wasn't just the trip that was the adventure but the journey they have been on since we kenneled them six weeks ago as we were leaving for Japan. The reason we had to wait to bring them over was the complicated process for bringing dogs into Japan. But we finally dotted all the i's and crossed all the t's and filled out every type of form imaginable - giving us the opportunity to finally get the dogs over here.

Mom and her friend,
Malcolm, checks the dogs
in at the Houston Airport |
 |
After two days and a 13 hour
flight, the dogs arrive at the Tokyo
Airport. Unfortunately, they had
to wait for about 3 more hours.
|
 |
Finally, Frank gets to get out of
the kennel and into our van. |
 |
Now, that we had Eddie and
Frank in the van. We had a two
hour trip back to Yokosuka. |
The dogs arrive at their new home.
 |
After all the excitement, the dogs
are worn out. |
 |
And so it begins, no jet lag for
these dogs. Up at 5 a.m. ready
to go. What a pain. |
Be careful what you ask for!
ReplyDeleteFunny, mom. And never more true than with these two dogs - they are pretty spoiled.
DeleteI bet they're not quite as spoiled than when you left being kennel this long. But it won't take long till they have you trained again.
ReplyDeleteWhat do neighbors think about living next to two horses??
The dogs are actually behaving really well. You are right about having us trained - they are really enjoying all the attention. As far as the neighbors, we live on a floor that allows pets - so everyone is used to dogs being around. But the dogs do attract a lot of attention because they are big dogs. You don't see a lot of dogs in Japan - especially big dogs (much less ones the size of a small horse).
DeleteJust tell them everything is bigger in Texas! :) I love all the pictures of Frank and Eddie on the couch just hanging out. They're too funny!
DeleteYesterday I got a call from Kadence's daycare... apparently she dropped her pants and panties and was sticking her butt in a friend's face!! hahahha. Omg! It was so embarrassing! It's hilarious typing it out.. but not so funny when you're getting a call about it. LOL! Kyla is doing well.. she is up to her reading level at school which she was, I think, 1 or 2 levels behind when school started. School is going well for me.. I am doing a case study in my Research and Communication class right now where I analyze all the financial statements and information for 3 different companies, evaluate their situation, and propose a business plan for the next year. I am pretty excited! Just think! I could be proposing business plans to companies in the next couple of years! Who'd a thunk! ;)
LOVE YOU GUYS!
